Finance students took part in a charity event to implement the SDGs
As part of the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1 “No Poverty”, 3 and 4-year students of the “Finance” educational program at the Higher School of Economics and Business initiated a charitable campaign aimed at supporting socially vulnerable groups of the population.
The event was held with the support of Dean Zh.Zh. Yermekova and Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting R.B. Sartova, highlighting the importance of social responsibility and the active involvement of the academic community in addressing socially significant challenges.
Under the guidance of senior lecturers and curators Kukiev A.Zh. and Kyzdarbekova A.S., students collected financial donations and used the funds to purchase essential food products for two low-income families. The initiative demonstrated students’ strong civic engagement, social responsibility, and sincere concern for societal issues.
Such initiatives contribute to the formation of values of social solidarity, mutual assistance, and responsibility among students, while also demonstrating the practical implementation of sustainable development principles within the educational environment.
The university administration expresses its gratitude to the students and curators for their initiative, high level of social responsibility, and valuable contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
