The social adaptation of international preparatory students is greatly supported through extracurricular activities, including visits to the beautiful sights of our city and cultural venues such as theatres and cinemas. Such activities significantly contribute to their faster integration into society. Within the framework of the (SDG 4–11) program, the students from the Department of Pre-University Training, made an educational and historical visit to the Museum of “Alash Figure Akhmet Baitursynuly.”
The main purpose of this educational trip was to increase students’ interest in the life and legacy of Akhmet Baitursynuly — the great Kazakh educator, the founder of Kazakh linguistics, and an outstanding public figure — as well as to foster respect for national history. During the excursion, I introduced the students to the museum’s exhibitions and presented the stages of Akhmet Baitursynuly’s life path. His personal belongings, rare photographs, press materials, translations, and original scientific works displayed in the museum drew particular attention from the students. In the main part of the excursion, we focused on his alphabet reform, his “Til-Qural” works, his public and educational activities, and his role in the Alash movement.
