Workshop within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 «Quality education»
Systematic educational, methodological and educational activities are systematically organized within the framework of the memorandum of mutual cooperation concluded between Gymnasium No. 208 of the Nauryzbai district of Almaty and the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry.
The main purpose of this memorandum is to improve educational and methodological work, develop scientific and technical thinking of students, implement joint scientific projects, as well as form an ecological culture of students and carry out career guidance.
For this purpose, on December 22, for 10th grade students of Gymnasium school No. 208 at the gymnasium school, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry - Associate Professor Zhaksylykova G.Zh., acting Associate Professor Kanapieva F.M. and Associate Professor Supieva Zh.A. we held a seminar.
During the workshop, students were provided with detailed information on the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including a substantive workshop on: «Environmentally friendly and safe household chemicals» (SDG 4 – «Quality education»).
During the event, students asked their questions about environmentally friendly products, the impact of household chemicals on human health and the environment, and received clear and scientifically sound answers from University scientists.
The seminar was also closely related to career guidance, and students received detailed information about specialties in chemistry and chemical technology, the faculty's educational programs, and opportunities to pursue science in the future.
She supported the management of gymnasium No. 208, the chemistry teacher, PhD Malimbayeva Z.B., as well as the teacher responsible for the career guidance work of the school Abu A.A. the university teachers expressed their great gratitude.
Such meaningful and educationally significant meetings help to increase students' interest in knowledge, form environmental responsibility and make an informed choice of a future profession. In the future, these joint events will be continued in accordance with a special calendar plan.
