Developing Digital Literacy Among Vulnerable Groups
In today’s world, where digital technologies have become an integral part of social life, issues of information security and responsible internet use are increasingly important. As part of the City Makers Jastar Qalasy festival held on September 27, 2025, students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data conducted a seminar focused on developing digital literacy among vulnerable population groups.
The event aimed to explain the fundamentals of safe use of the internet, social networks, and electronic government services. Participants received practical information on protecting personal data, preventing online fraud, and distinguishing reliable information sources. During the seminar, the risks of the digital environment and methods of protection were demonstrated through real-life examples. In addition, mechanisms for the effective use of e-government services were explained. Special attention was paid to fostering responsible behavior in the digital space.
The event was held in an interactive format, enabling participants to actively share their views. The seminar contributed to strengthening social inclusion and reducing digital inequality, becoming an important step toward enhancing society’s information culture.
