On January 15, 2026, the teaching staff of the Department of History of Kazakhstan at the Faculty of History – Deputy Head of the Department for Academic and Education Affairs, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Assistant professor E.N. Noyanov; Candidate of historical Sciences, Assistant Professor T.A. Nurpeis; PhD, Acting Associate professor A.O. Koshymova and Senior Lecturers G.I. Mensitova, M.T. Bizhanova, A.N. Saginaeva – held an educational and moral development meeting with students and teaching staff of the Almalybak Secondary School-Gymnasium, located in the village of Almalibak (KIZ).
The event was dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the prominent military leader, writer, and Hero of the Soviet Union, Baurzhan Momyshuly, and continued with a lecture entitled “Qaisar Rukh iesi - Baurzhan” (“Baurzhan – a Man of Indomitable Spirit”). During the lecture, students were introduced to Baurzhan Momyshuly’s heroic deeds, his devotion to the Motherland, deep respect for national values, the native language, traditions, and the spiritual heritage of the Kazakh people.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of historical figures’ life path in shaping young people’s civic identity, fostering patriotism, and strengthening national consciousness. It was highlighted that the formation of a responsible and conscientious citizen is closely linked to respect for one’s country, its history, state language, and national values.
The event was organized within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, and aimed to expand students’ historical awareness, reinforce moral and spiritual values, and promote patriotic education.
Such educational initiatives are regarded as an important platform for increasing students’ interest in national history and making a positive contribution to their personal development.
