An Explanatory Meeting on Pension Savings Held for Teachers
An informational and explanatory meeting with representatives of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) was held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management. The main purpose of the event was to improve the financial literacy of young people and to explain the procedure for forming pension savings, as well as how and where pension contributions are accumulated.
During the meeting, UAPF specialists informed students about the principles of operation of the accumulative pension system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the types of pension contributions — mandatory and voluntary — and the importance of pension savings for ensuring citizens’ social security in the future. It was noted that in the case of official employment, pension contributions are automatically transferred to the UAPF.

In addition, representatives of the fund provided detailed information on the possibilities of monitoring pension savings online. Teachers were introduced to the electronic services and the mobile application of the UAPF, which allow users to track the status of their individual pension accounts.

At the end of the meeting, teachers asked questions of interest and received detailed explanations. Such events contribute to the formation of a responsible attitude among young people toward their financial future and to understanding the importance of starting pension savings at an early stage.
