An open seminar class was conducted at the Faculty of History as part of pedagogical practice

Within the framework of pedagogical practice at the History Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, first-year PhD student in Archaeology of the Department of Archaeology and Ethnology, Adilova Kamchat Auelkhanovna, conducted an open seminar class in the course “Classical Archaeology” for second-year students of the “Archaeology” educational program.

During the open seminar on the topic “Everyday Life and Culture of Ancient Greece”, the social structure of ancient Greek society, patterns of daily life, worldview, and cultural values of the classical period were comprehensively analyzed. In addition, key aspects of the material and spiritual culture of ancient Greek civilization were examined, followed by an integrated discussion based on archaeological research and historical sources.

The seminar was organized in both academic and interactive formats and was aimed at developing students’ analytical, argumentative, and scientific reasoning skills. The students actively participated in the discussion, freely expressed their perspectives, and demonstrated strong engagement in interpreting historical and cultural processes.

The open seminar was attended by faculty members, PhD students, and the practice supervisor, Senior Lecturer B. Besetayev.

The seminar, conducted as part of pedagogical practice, contributed to the development of the young researcher’s professional and pedagogical competencies.
