21st Century Skills training course of Japan Foundatio

Lecturer of the Department of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU, Yerlan Abdiyevich Akhapov has completed a three-week training course on 21st-century skills at the Urava Japanese Language Institute of the International Japan Foundation.

The International Japan Foundation, as part of its annual programs, announces scholarships and training programs for professionals from all over the world, offering excellent opportunities to the best Japanese teachers and leading Japanese scholars.

The 21st Century Skills is a literacy in the digital age, essential for the 21st century, recommended by ATC21. These skills include the tools and abilities students need to prepare and adapt to the digital society on the eve of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In particular, it is aimed at improving and developing such skills as thinking, professional career, and adaptation in a rapidly changing public life. These include skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, working knowledge and skills in the field of ICT, life and career design, personal and social responsibility (recognition and response to culture) and communication tools.

During the program, trainings were held on modern interactive teaching methods aimed at acquiring skills in the 21st century with professionals with advanced experience in this field. Based on the results of the internship, all participants were awarded a certificate of completion.
