Al-Farabi KazNU hosted "Erasmus Day" in support of worldwide event with the hashtag #Erasmus Days2019.
The European Unio's Erasmus+ program is a funding scheme to support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport.
Al-Farabi KazNU has a great experience in active cooperation and implementation of Erasmus+ programs. The meeting brought together all KazNU projects within Erasmus+ CBHE, such as APPLE, ChildC.A., ENTER, CLASS, EduEnvi, LMPI, DECIDE, ENINEDU, SMART City. Higher School of Economics and Business and team members of the project «Enhancement of higher education and corporate sectors integration in accordance with the new social environment – ENINEDU» have organized the event.
The main purpose of the meeting was not only a demonstration of the results achieved, but also a discussion of the problems that the teams face when implementing an international project, as well as an exchange of experience between the participants. It turned out that there were quite a few questions, and the teams actively participated in the discussion. The issues of assessing the impact of the project at the individual and institutional levels were also considered.
During the discussion, a number of problems were noted such as the difficulties of introducing new programs and new technologies into the educational process, the frequent change of team members, difficulties in attracting stakeholders for active participation in the project, issues of ensuring the sustainability of projects after completion, language proficiency, etc.
Despite the first experience of holding Erasmus Day in this format, the meeting was quite successful. In summing up the results, the participants came up with a proposal to organize team meetings more often both at the university and at the inter-institutional level.
