VII International Winter School of Journalism and Communication Official hashtags: # WSJC2020 - #WorldRadioDay # AlFarabi1150
Since 2014, the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with the support of the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Bureau, has been holding the International Winter School of Journalism and Communication, which has become traditional and dedicated to World Radio Day.
From the moment the organization was organized, the educational and health complex “Tau-Turan”, located in Ile-Alatau State National Park of the Almaty Region, was chosen as the venue. The winter school is a media dialogue platform between studying youth and practicing journalists.
The theme of the celebration of 2020 is “Radio and Diversity,” which aims to improve the quality of radio journalism, local radio programs and podcasts by improving the diversity of editorial policies, the structure of news departments and engaging in action to spread UNESCO’s ideas.
Lecturers, journalists, researchers, teachers and students of France, Turkey, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan will attend the Winter School.
