the First President's Hall was opned at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

The hall of the First President, Elbasy N. Nazarbayev was opened at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was timed to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated on December 1 in the country. The Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Academician Galym Mutanov, University scientists, representatives of the public and mass media visited this hall.

The hall is an educational center, which contains the materials about the history of the establishment and strengthening of the country's independence, headed by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. The main sources of the hall fund include books of Elbasy and materials containing historical research devoted to the first years of Kazakhsta's independence. This hall also contains the huge collections of photographs, paintings, copies of archival documents, printed publications and works, videos about Elbasy, his school and student years, his career and social and political activities.

The creation of a hall within the walls of the country's leading university is of a great educational value, since the life path of the First President of Kazakhstan is a good example of serving the Fatherland and an example of patriotism for the country's younger generation.

The participants of the event got acquainted with the work of the Global Hub of the UN Program "Academic Impact" on sustainable development, which Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has been heading since 2014 for the fourth term in a row. They also visited the historical and artistic complex "Mangilik El", including the Al-Farabi Museum, with a fund of rare books and manuscripts, expositions "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe" and "Mangilik El", the halls of Alash and Abai.

The Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy donated to the university 100 unique books created by the team of the authors led by the Head of the Chancellery of the Elbasy, Doctor of Political Science, Professor M.B. Kasymbekov.

Nazarbayev delivered the lecture at Al-Farabi Kazakh National: “Kazakhstan in the post-crisis world: an intellectual breakthrough into the future” which was included in the book “Lectures of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev at the world's leading universities”. The legacy of the Leader of the Nation is the fundamental foundation of the future of our Motherland. Coming to this hall, each student and guest of the university will receive a powerful impetus for self-development. The example of the First President of Kazakhstan is a guideline which will allow shaping a new generation of single-minded and intelligent people in Kazakhstan "

Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, academician, Galym Mutanov thanked the honored guest for long-term cooperation and support in creating the First President's thematic hall. “The hall value is the huge amount of information about Elbasy’s activities and Kazakhstan recent history information which is available now to our undergraduates and doctoral students. It will host scientific and practical conferences and seminars, meetings of the expert community, scientists and specialists in the field of culture and education,” the rector said.
