On February 21, 2021, the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an event from the series “Scientific Conversations” on the topic “Professor O.A. Sultanayev: Bridges of friendship and creation”. The event was held with the participation of the Children’s Book Academy “Altair” and the team of the scientific and Educational project “Epoch and Personality” in an online format on the Zoom platform.
The Participants of the meeting were students, undergraduates, doctoral students and teachers of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty), L.N. Gumilyov ENU (Nur-Sultan), the Eurasian Humanitarian Institute (Nur-Sultan), Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University (Kokshetau), South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical University (Shymkent), RUDN (Moscow), Zh. Balasaguni Multidisciplinary College KNU (Bishkek). Foreign students and doctoral students studying at al-Farabi Kazakh National University took an active part.
On the birthday of Professor Ogaz Arystangalievich Sultanyev, the guests and participants spoke about the scale of the scientist's personality, the range of Professor O.A. Sultanyaev’s scientific and pedagogical interests. The meeting was timed to coincide with International Mother Language Day, which is traditionally celebrated on 21 February to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.
