A FREE TAJIK LANGUAGE COURSE HAS BEEN STARTED BY THE FACULTY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES

The Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University officially launched an online Tajik language course on March 16, 2021. The event was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Almaty Bahodur Nazir, a Tajik language teacher from the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after S. Aini Jamila Saidova, the head of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia P. M. Suleimenov, the deputy head of the Department for Scientific work F. Zhumazhanova and also by teachers, students of the faculty. The Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Yktiyar Paltore opened the event by thanking the Consul General of Tajikistan, Bahodur Nazir, for his support in organizing the Tajik language course on a free basis and congratulating him on the course's opening. Yktiyar Paltore also stated in his speech that Kazakhstan and Tajikistan have had long-standing friendly ties. He expressed hope that the opening of the Tajik language course would put the cultures of the two countries closer together, noting Tajikista's rich culture's contribution to world civilization. Bahodur Nazir, Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan, also made a welcoming speech at the opening of the Tajik language course, saying that the Tajik language course at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University demonstrates the friendly ties between the two peoples in the fields of education, science, and culture. He also stated that learning the language would strengthen the scientific and cultural relations between the two countries, enabling the peoples of the two countries to gain a better understanding of each other's modern growth. B. Batyrkhan, head of the Department of Iranian Studies, and I. Valiev, Deputy Chairman of the Association "Somonien," were also present at the opening of the Tajik language course, congratulating the students and wishing them good luck. Congratulations were given by Shadkam Zubaida, associate professor of the Turksoy Department, Kamalov Jamshed on the Tajik side, and Ismagulova Symbat, a specialist in Urdu-Hindi and a teacher at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, who is studying for her doctorate in the Indian city of Varanasi. The online Tajik language course will be taught by Saidova Jamila, a Tajik language teacher. At the end of the course listeners who have successfully passed the exam will receive a certificate.
