Students from Kazakhstan will participate in a free internship in Turkey.
260 Kazakhstan students, including students of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, received a unique chance to study tourism and hotel business in Turkey for free this summer. The students will be trained at Antalya Bilim University for 4 months, as well as practice in the five-star hotel chain Rixos. This opportunity was created thanks to the international program of experimental training in tourism TELP (Tourism Experimental Learning Program). It was joined by 7 universities from Nur-Sultan, Aktau, Shymkent and Turkestan, which signed protocols on cooperation with Turkish partners.
Students will be enrolled in Antalya Bilim University at the Faculty of Tourism. After obtaining theoretical knowledge, they will be immersed in all the subtleties of the hotel business and restaurant business. They will be given the opportunity to plunge into office work, cleaning hotels, preparing menus, drinks, food for tourists, etc. So that at the end they have a complete idea of how the tourism industry in Turkey works, due to which it managed to become a world leader.
Kazakh students will be fully covered for all expenses related to accommodation, travel, meals, and uniforms. And as a bonus, they will receive about $ 100 every month. Already in July, when it is predicted that there will be an influx of tourists, the first batch of children will be able to start practicing in five-star hotels in Antalya, Bodrum and Gejek.
Turkey is rightfully one of the leaders in the modern tourism industry. Therefore, the experience of a fraternal country accumulated over decades is very important for Kazakhstan, the heads of domestic universities emphasize. Especially in the training of qualified specialists who can form a favorable image of the country.
