COOPERATION WITH TURKMENISTAN WILL EXPAND

At the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Chairman of the Board-Rector of the Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Batyr Rezhepov.

Thanking the distinguished guest for the visit and the interest shown in the activities of the university, the rector noted the importance of support from diplomatic organizations.

Focusing on the quality of education aimed at training highly qualified specialists, Zhanseit Tuimebayev spoke about the process of commercialization of scientific research at the university. He dwelled in detail on the further plans of the university's research activities.

In turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Batyr Durdimuratovich Rezhepov expressed gratitude to Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev for the warm welcome. During the meeting, the participants discussed a range of issues in the scientific and educational sphere. In particular, the ambassador announced his intention to sign an agreement between the higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to train highly qualified personnel in the field of IT technologies. He also spoke about the possibility of signing agreements within the framework of the planned visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to the Republic of Turkmenistan, which is scheduled for the end of November this year, informed about his intention to facilitate the visit of the rector of KazNU as a member of the official delegation.

During the meeting, the Counselor of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Nury Goliev also spoke, thanking the leadership for the high-quality training of students from Turkmenistan at KazNU.

At the end of the working meeting, the rector expressed gratitude for cooperation and readiness to organize further work on joint projects.
