Within the framework of the orientation week of acquaintance with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for first-year students of the specialty "Digital Economy” and “Economics" The Higher School of Economics and Business held a meeting with the chief economist of LLP "Energy of Semirechye" and a graduate of our University A.J. Koylybai. Abdigappar Zhenisuly held a leadership lecture on "Hard&Soft Skills for a successful career as an economist" at a meeting with students.
The lecturer shared how important it is for a career to develop personal skills in addition to professional skills. Or, as they are called, soft skills. Students got acquainted with the term soft skills, what they give to economic specialists and what flexible skills an economist, accountant, financial manager, CFO and auditor need to develop for effective work and a successful career.
Professional skills allow you to do your job efficiently, and personal skills help a specialist to better present and sell his professionalism, experience and achievements more expensively.
The speaker also shared his experience of how he acquired these qualities while studying at the university and taking part in public and social events of the university (business incubator, Technopark, Keremet, Masters and Doctor Prjgram, Model UN, Exhibitions).
At the moment, he successfully applies knowledge and skills in such projects as "Construction of a combined wind power station, a 310 MV hydroelectric power plant", small hydroelectric power plants in the Almaty region universal generator – engine.
We hope that this meeting will be remembered for a long time by the newly minted freshmen and will help in the future, because they received wise parting words from the senior mentor.
