Exhibition “Science of Switzerland” in Al-Farabi KazNU

The exhibition will be inaugurated by his HE Mr. Stephen Nellen, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Switzerland in the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Embassy of Switzerland in Astana, as well as his Mr. Galimkair Mutanov, Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU and the students and the faculty of the university.

The exhibition provides insights into the works of 25 outstanding researchers of Switzerland and their various subject areas. The outstanding photos from Swiss photographer Andri Pol showcases the scientists’ research and achievements in a wide variety of disciplines ranging from astrophysics, geology, medicine and robotics, to art history, anthropology and philosophy. Booklets on the exhibition and educational brochures will be available.

Thank to the co-operation between KazNU and the Embassy of Switzerland in Astana, Professor Peter Finke, Director of Social and Cultural Anthropology Department of Zurich University will conduct lectures for undergraduate and post graduate students in the course of the exhibition.

HE Mr. Stephen Nellen, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Switzerland in the Republic of Kazakhstan and his HE Mr. Galimkair Mutanov, Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU will deliver greetings to the participants in the opening ceremony.
