ABSATTAR DERBISALI’S LECTURE HALL OPENED IN KAZNU
The 75th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, Professor, orientalist, diplomat Absattar Derbisali was celebrated at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event began in the Al-Farabi Library, where the "Fund of Rare Books and Manuscripts named after Academician Absattar Derbisali" was opened. In the historical auditorium, which was opened especially for students, early books and manuscripts written by scientists are presented.
Then the solemn part continued with the international scientific and theoretical conference "Problems of Oriental Studies and Spirituality".
The event was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimat of Almaty and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, state and public figures, spouse Rafiya Bakirovna and descendants of Absattar Derbisali, ambassadors and consuls of the states of Turkey, Russia, Egypt, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Iran, representatives of the religious sphere, the teaching staff of the University and students.
In his speech, the head of the university noted that the educational activities of Absattar Bagysbayuly are closely connected with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Under his leadership, more than 400 specialists-orientalists, doctors and candidates of philological sciences have been trained.
