The Parasat trade union of employees of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with the support of the university administration, issued briefcases and school supplies to the kids going to the first grade.
This good tradition has existed at the university for seven years. This year 210 future first graders received briefcases, notebooks, pencils, pencil cases, watercolor paints and sketchbooks.
In 2020, the republican charity event of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "The Road to School" was launched. The leadership of the KazNU and the Parasat trade union, taking into account the wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayeva continues to work in this direction and plans to conduct it constantly. In accordance with the sustainable development strategy, the university takes care of the quality of life and well-being of employees. Since 2014, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has been the Global Hub of the UN Academic Impact Program on Sustainable Development and is actively working to promote the principles and initiatives of the UN and UNESCO to create conditions for dialogue between civilizations, cultures and peoples. Today, KazNU is the leader in the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings-2023 international ranking for all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The objectives of the sustainable development strategy include quality education and human well-being.
The guys immediately put on bright briefcases and took pictures with pride. And someone could not resist, opened the "union" gift and looked inside. Albums with images of favorite characters, bright pencils and paints, erasers and pencil cases – study supplies will go with boys and girls to their first class in their lives.
Associate Professor of the Faculty of History Idil Noyanov and leading researcher of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch. Ch. Valikhanov Arman Zhumadil said parting words to the first-graders.
Zhanargul Satkynova, Chief Specialist of the Registrar's Office, expressed gratitude to the union on behalf of the parents. She wished the children to grow and develop, to achieve a lot in life.
