Student of KazNU is the champion of the summer sports contest of the Republic of Kazakhstan

A 3rd year student of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Seitkazy Elaman recently became the champion of the VI Summer Olympics of the Republic of Kazakhstan in weightlifting. About 150 athletes from all over the country took part in the competitions among men and women. Sport is inextricably linked with human health. KazNU pays special attention to the formation of a healthy lifestyle among students and teachers. Good health and well-being, which is one of the Sustainable Development Goals, is being successfully implemented at KazNU. This is evidenced by the data of the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings-2023 for all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where Al-Farabi Kazakh National University became the only one among Kazakhstani universities that was included in this rating.

In the 81 kg weight category, Elaman took first place with a score of 336 (150+186). The second place went to the representative of Shymkent Alexander Uvarov - 335 (149+186), the third place was taken by Denis Ulanov from East Kazakhstan - 325 (145+180).

Seitkazy Elaman is a multiple champion of the Kazakhstan Championship in weightlifting, a member of the national team of Kazakhstan. This year he won the junior gold medal at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Jinju (South Korea).
