I feel fortunate to have this opportunity
As a foreigner coming to study in Almaty, Kazakhstan, I was not sure what to expect. However, since arriving in December 2022, I have been blown away by the city, the university, the people, and the culture. In this article, I will share my positive opinions and amazing feelings about my experiences so far.
Let me start with the city of Almaty. It is a beautiful city with a perfect combination of modern buildings and historic landmarks. The snow-capped mountains in the background add to the charm of the city. I have been fascinated by the rich history and culture of Almaty, which is reflected in the architecture, food, and traditions. The city is also known for its cleanliness and safety, which makes it an ideal place to study and live.
Speaking of studying, Al-Farabi National University is a top-notch institution that I am proud to be a part of. The university has excellent facilities, including modern classrooms and well-equipped laboratories. The student services are also impressive, and the staff are always willing to help with any inquiries or issues. The university housing is also of high quality, providing a comfortable and safe living space for students. One of the things that stand out about Al-Farabi National University is its dedication to the application of scientific material in colleges. The professors and faculty members are highly qualified and passionate about their subjects, which makes learning engaging and exciting. Moving on to the people of Kazakhstan, I must say that they are some of the most hospitable and friendly people I have ever encountered. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and embraced by the locals. I have been impressed by their respect for foreigners and their willingness to help in any way possible. I have made many new friends here, and I am grateful for their warmth and kindness. The Nauryz celebration and traditional events have been some of the most memorable experiences I have had in Almaty. The atmosphere during the celebrations was electrifying, with music, dance, and traditional costumes adding to the festivity. I was particularly impressed by the generosity of the Kazakh people, who provided free food to everyone, making it a truly inclusive celebration. I felt a deep sense of joy and happiness as I participated in the festivities. Finally, let me talk about Kazakh food, especially horse meat dishes. I was initially hesitant to try horse meat, but I must admit that it is delicious. The traditional dishes like Beshbarmak, a boiled meat dish, and Kazy, a sausage made from horse meat, have become some of my favorites. I have also enjoyed trying other traditional dishes like Shashlik and Lagman, which are equally delicious.
In conclusion, my experience in Almaty, Kazakhstan, has been nothing short of amazing. The city, the university, the people, the culture, and the food have exceeded my expectations. I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to study in such a fantastic environment, and I am looking forward to exploring more of this beautiful country.
