In autumn, for the first time, the university hosted an amateur art competition among talented students "Farabi fest" with the participation of all university students, including foreign ones, who had their own directions in choreography, vocals and performance on musical instruments. The Rector of the University, Chairman of the Board Zh.K. Tuimebayev, provided great support to the youth, handing the winners of the festival at the Grand Final scholarships in fourfold size - the winners of the Grand Prix, three-fold - 1 places, two-fold - 2 places, 1 scholarship – 3 places. More than 2000 students took part in the talent contest, which was held for a month, and 34 prizes were awarded. Diplomas for participation were awarded to 38 students.
