On March 2, 2023, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a city-wide competition "Bright Star-2023", in which talented children took part, organized by the University's volunteer movement "Good Help". Pupils of special boarding schools, children's towns and boarding houses in Almaty took part in this competition.
The purpose of the event is to cover the strategies of the university, including:

• New principles of social policy – social guarantees and personal responsibility.

2. The concept of social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030:
• Formation of a competitive and accessible education system that provides citizens with qualifications that are in demand on the labor market, the possibility of lifelong learning.

• expansion of information, cultural and sports space, providing opportunities for the spiritual and physical development of young people.

The Bright Star project provides an excellent opportunity for children to get one step closer to their dreams, perform on stage and present themselves in a new light. The main goal of the project is not to alienate people who need help from society, to improve their talents, to bring smiles on their faces and joy in their hearts.
The scale of this project, organized to appreciate the creativity of children with disabilities, orphans and give special memories, is growing every year. The events were held within the framework of one of the Sustainable Development Goals - reducing inequality.
