KazNU journal in the Scopus database

“Physical Sciences and Technology” is an international journal publishing the latest achievements and current problems of the scientific world in the field of physical sciences and technology. The journal was formed in 2014 under the guidance of leading Kazakhstani and foreign scientists. Along with Scopus, the journal is also indexed in other known scientific databases such as EBSCO, DRJI, DOAJ, and others. The journal publications are cited in the proceedings of prestigious international conferences and in scientific journals with high ratings.

According to the selection policy of the Scopus Content Selection and Advisory Board, the publication of scientific articles in a journal relevant to an international audience is an important and decisive criterion for the inclusion of the journal in the database. Journal “Physical Sciences and Technology” was evaluated and selected according to criteria such as academic contribution to the research field, citation of journal articles in Scopus, geographical distribution of editors and authors, clear and publicly available statements of publication ethics and more.

Scopus is the world’s largest indexing database, which determines the impact of scientific publications. The database contains about 45,000 publications from international publishers in the fields of natural, social and human sciences, engineering, medicine and art. Scopus data quality is recognized by leading universities and research organizations that use this database to assess research work, as well as rating agencies to compile world university rankings.

Inclusion of the journal in the prestigious scientometric database is an indicator of further integration of the university and Kazakhstani science into the global scientific space.
