A meeting was held with the head of the Cultural Representation of Iran in Almaty

On September 19, the Department of Middle East and South Asia held a meeting with the head of the Cultural Representation of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Mr. Hussein Aghazadeh, as part of an event held on the basis of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) project. At the meeting, the distinguished guest noted that culture and economics are of great importance in the development of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Iran, and noted the role of the Department of Iranian Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, which trains future specialists who will participate in the development of these relations. Mr. Aghazadeh congratulated the teachers and students of the Iranian Studies Department on the beginning of the new academic year and presented special gifts. The event was attended by deputy deans of the faculty U.A. Amirbekova, S.T. Dzhakubaeva, head of the department D.M. Kokeyeva, teachers of the department and students of the Department of Iranian Studies.
