“TRANSLATOR IS A PRESTIGIOUS PROFESSION”

On September 29, 2023, the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the club of young translators “TARZHIMAN” organized the  event on the topic:  “TRANSLATOR IS A PRESTIGIOUS  PROFESSION”, dedicated to the International Translator Day.  

The event  was moderated  by Akimzhan Anel,    the 3rd year student majoring in Translation Studies and the President  of the club.  The 1st,  the 2nd,  the 3rd and the  4th year students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation took part in the event having demonstrated  their skills.  The 4th year students shared their experience with  the future colleagues.  The first-year students congratulated the audience  in Korean and English and explained the reasons for choosing the profession of translator. The 2nd-year students played interesting games.  The 3rd year students showed various videos and presented  gifts to active students. Club members congratulated the freshmen. The  lecturers of the  Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies were invited to the event. Musaly Layla Zhumataykyzy,  the scientific director of the “TARZHIMAN” club,the lecturer  of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, congratulated the students on their professional holiday having ended  the event.
