SUMMER SCHOOL "SPORTS MANAGEMENT" IN THE TREASURE NAMED AFTER AL-FARABI

On August 15, 2023, the grand opening of the summer school “Sports Management” took place, organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Faculty of Medicine and Health of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena under the DAAD project (Germany) - one of the oldest universities in Germany.

The joint educational project is relevant in the framework of the implementation of sustainable development goals, such as ensuring quality education, good health and well-being of people.

As part of the summer school "Sports Management", lectures and master classes on the economics of sports and sports management, including sports marketing, were held from August 14 to 27. The lecturers were leading experts - scientists from German universities: Frank Daumann (Friedrich Schiller University of Jena), Norbert Schütte (Johanns Gutenberg University, Mainz), Markus Breuer and Benedikt Römmelt(Heidelberg University of Applied Sciences, SRH).

In addition, foreign participants were offered an exciting accompanying cultural program to introduce them to German culture and lifestyle, as well as the process of study and research in Germany and Kazakhstan. All classes and activities were conducted in English.
