А guest lecture “Careers in finance (mining sector)”

On October 12, 2023 at 16:00, within the framework of SDG 8 “Decent work and economic growth”, a guest lecture “Careers in finance (mining sector)” was held with a representative of the real sector of the economy, head of the “Financial reporting” department of KAZ Minerals Anuarbekova Balzhan Aitbekkyzy, with with the participation of teaching staff and 3rd year students of the Department of Finance and Accounting. The participants of the guest lecture discussed the prospects for the development of the financier profession. This profession will always be in demand because it changes in response to what is happening in the world. It is financiers who help companies calculate risks, reduce costs, or increase the return on investment of a product. And most importantly, they are the ones who can minimize or even prevent financial losses. After all, finance is an integral part of improving any business. A professional in financial management has deep knowledge from several areas at once: from mathematical models of effective investment to all the nuances and pitfalls of current legislation in the desired area.
