KazNU strengthens partnership with PRC universities
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a working visit visited a special delegation of representatives of higher education institution of the People's Republic of China.
During the visit the guests of honor visited the campus of KazNU and familiarized themselves with the scientific infrastructure of the university. And also met with a member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Zhamila Aitzhanova, discussing the prospects of partnership between universities.
The delegation included Efim Zelmanov, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fields Prize winner; Jiping Zhang, professor of Peking University; Xiaojing Zheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Bohui Chen, Zengjing Chen, Hurong Qin, Yunhe Sheng, Wen Huang, and others.
At the meeting Zhamila Aitzhanova informed the members of the delegation about the achievements and further plans of KazNU. The Vice-Rector also noted that cooperation between universities of KazNU and PRC is growing day by day.
"Today KazNU cooperates with more than 50 universities and organizations in China. Recently, the University hosted the Forum on cooperation in higher education in China-Central Asia "The Fourth Industrial Revolution: the integration of industry and education". Also on the basis of KazNU opened a branch of the North-West Polytechnic University. For our part, we will continue to work on further building up relations with Chinese universities", - emphasized Zhamila Aitzhanova.
Members of the delegation also took the floor during the meeting and expressed their interest in developing and strengthening partnership with KazNU.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts and took pictures.
