"Planting trees at the foothills of Almaty"
On October 17, 2023 L.A. Tursalieva, the lecturer of the Department of Russian philology and world literature, held the event "Planting trees at the foothills of Almaty" within the framework of SDG 15 " Life on the Land".
The students took an active part in this event, having shown that it is important to save our flora and fauna. Planting trees they made a focus on preserving ecosystem for future generations.
The students, together with the curator-adviser, planted trees at the foothills of Almaty to make their contribution to preserving the Earth's ecosystems. Nature is very important for our survival: nature supplies us with oxygen, regulates the weather, pollinates our crops and give us food. But there is a negative human influence on it. Human activity has transformed about 75% of the Earth's surface, displacing the animal world and nature into a very small corner of the planet. The main factor of the changing and degradating modern ecosystems is man. We have a choice to continue destroying or starting keeping our ecosystem for the benefit of future generations.
