KazNU hosted a conference dedicated to inclusive education

The International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Training of Specialists for Inclusive Education: Strategies, Concepts, Experience" was held in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was organized within the framework of the project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Formation of professional self-determination of students with special educational needs as a national strategy in the field of inclusive education in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The conference was attended by specialists, developing the practice of inclusive education, scientists, psychologists, teachers, leading training of specialists in this field, representatives of public organizations, socio-psychological rehabilitation and psychological and pedagogical support, students and their parents.

The plenary session was opened by the moderator of the conference - member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Lazzat Erkinbaeva. In her speech she noted: "One of the strategies of the state educational policy in Kazakhstan is to create equal access to quality education for persons with special educational needs. The most important factor in solving this issue is training of personnel for inclusive education.

KazNU is the leading university of the country in the realization of this strategy. On the basis of the university the Republican Coordination Council on inclusive education in organizations of higher and postgraduate education of RK was formed, the Scientific and Practical Center "Inclusive Environment" was created, a number of scientific projects of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of RK are being implemented, work on educational and methodological support of the organization of inclusive education in the university is carried out".

Then the deputy of Majilis of the Parliament Kenzhegul Seytzhan made a speech. Addressing the heads of universities, teachers and participants, he said: "If you will be attentive and motivated to give knowledge to students with special needs, create conditions, support centers for students and professors so that they can productively contact with each other, everything will be great," the deputy stressed. - I hope that Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will be inclusive and the best university in the world. And I will do my best to promote it in the legislative sphere".

The meeting was also addressed by: director of the National Scientific and Practical Center for Development of Special and Inclusive Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of RK Aigerim Kuderinova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Academician of the International Academy of Pedagogical Education, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Education Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Akmaral Magauova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy of Nizami Tashkent State University Marina Urazova and others.

The large-scale international event included a plenary session, round table, training, as well as an exhibition of scientific and methodological developments of foreign and Kazakhstani scientists on the problems of inclusive education.

The conference participants discussed scientific and practical aspects of training specialists for educational inclusion, shared their experience and vision of further strategy of work in the relevant field.
