6 november, 2023

On November 4, 2023, in the assembly hall of hostel No. 16, a round table was held on the topic “The best “SMART cities” in the world” with 1st-year students of the Department of Economics, 6B04103-Economics.

The concept of a “smart city”, based on the 11th goal of sustainable development of the future society “Sustainable cities and communities”, has become widespread. According to this concept, 2,500 cities around the world have embarked on a new path of development. In world practice, there are two main ways to create smart cities: the creation of a new smart city and the gradual introduction of smart technologies into the existing urban system. One of the main criteria of a smart city is increased communication between residents and authorities.

Living in a smart city is comfortable and safe; all processes are controlled and optimized, resulting in people and society as a whole achieving the best results.
