On November 14, 2023, the archive of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan published the book "historical document – trust to posterity. a round table dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the law "on the national archival fund and archives" was held at the event, organized within the framework of the cycle of events of the archive marathon.

The adoption of the law” on the national archival fund and Archives " in 1998 became a historical and important stage in the development of the archival industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is known that within the framework of this law, the rules for the storage and use of archival documents were adopted, uniform principles and requirements were established on the terms of storage and the procedure for destruction of documents, in the work of state and departmental archives. Since the adoption of this law, more than 40 amendments and additions have been made to it.

The round table considered the most important and relevant issues related to the development of archival business: discussion of topical issues of the archival industry of Kazakhstan, sharing the experience of the work of State Archives, as well as issues of regulatory regulation of archival work in the context of digital transformation of Kazakhstan's archives.
