Fourth-year students studying in the specialty of “Public Health” visited the “National Center of Expertise” for educational purposes within the framework of the SDG “Quality Education”, under the guidance of Associate Professor S. A. Koshkimbaeva. The National Center of Expertise has laboratories for municipal hygiene, industrial hygiene, radiation hygiene, food hygiene, electromagnetic fields, and other physical factors. It also focuses on the toxicology of polymeric materials and other chemicals, pesticides, parasitology, bacteriology, virology, and especially dangerous infections.

The National Center of Expertise in Almaty is the largest and leading organization in the country, ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population. They conduct several million laboratory tests every year, aiding in the diagnosis of both infectious and non-infectious diseases. NCE specialists help quickly determine the composition, safety, and quality of any food products and substances. All laboratories have the necessary permits and certificates. NCE conducts comprehensive laboratory tests and measurements, assesses risk factors, and ensures industrial safety control. They also perform bacteriological and sanitary-chemical assessments of all types of food products, conduct laboratory tests for medical examinations, and provide hygienic training for employees.

We express our gratitude to the director of the National Center of Expertise, Altai Alikhanovich Amanbaev, and to the doctors of the sanitary and epidemiological service, Amina Slamkanovna Amirova and Aigul Apalievna Embergenova, for their participation in the seminar on the topic of “Sanitary and Epidemiological Monitoring”.
