On 11/09/2023, the day of the people’s poet and great thinker of Pakistan, Muhammad Iqbal, was celebrated at the department of the Middle East and South Asia Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Iqbal’s contribution to the revival of Islamic culture and spirituality truly immeasurable. A great poet and thinker who pioneered the new Muslim renaissance in the early 20th century, today he is considered the “spiritual leader” of Pakistan. Members of the language club of the Quasar Urdu Society read Iqbal’s poems and shared his biography. The Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University made a welcoming speech, after which the Advisor to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Faruk, spoke.
