It is well known that all countries implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals to improve the well-being of people worldwide and enhance the protection of our planet. In this regard, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics Rakhmatullayeva Dinara, within the discipline "Economics of Information," organized a public defense of independent works of the students of the 3rd year "Economics" within the framework of the implementation of SDG 9 "Create sustainable infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and stimulate innovation." According to SDG 9, small and medium-sized enterprises (about 90% worldwide) are the most important factor in developing industrialization in a country and creating new jobs (up to 60% worldwide). Their development and support require quality basic infrastructure, cheap financing, and reliable logistics. To this end, students prepared and defended group and individual projects on the topic: "Assessment of key factors of successful business models for sustainable development of Kazakhstan." The students took an active part; they were able to demonstrate their creativity, analytical skills, and economic knowledge. They analyzed the models of the most successful companies in different economic spheres of the country. These are Kaspi, Magnum, Air Astana, BI Group, and Glovo. The experience of these successful business models can become a good basis for developing a quality business and investment environment for small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan, increasing the profitability of their business.
