“My Motherland is Kazakhstan”

On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, there was   an event on the topic “My Motherland is Kazakhstan” for patriotic education of schoolchildren held at school-gymnasium No.73 in Almaty.  The veterans of the December 1986 uprising in Almaty were invited to this event. Among the guests of honor  there was  the lecturer  of  A. Baitursuly Department of Kazakh Linguistics of Al-Farabi KazNU, Candidate of Philology Khanshaim Abdutalypovna Karabaeva. During the meeting, she shared her memories about  the December events of 1986 and answered schoolchildren’s  questions.

She thanked the teachers and the pupils  for hosting the event and donated the “Student Shezhiresi (Student Chronicle)” book that  contains the  stories of the  fellow students about the December events  to the school library.
