KazNU and Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography established partnership
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Academy of Sciences of the People's Republic of China signed a cooperation agreement.
Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev exchanged views with the Director General of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zhang Yuanming on the development of areas of cooperation and further joint work.
The agreement provides for the expansion of cooperation in the field of environmental sciences and sustainable development, as well as joint use of scientific centers and laboratories in educational institutions.
In addition, this memorandum will allow for the exchange of teachers and students, joint academic meetings, symposia, and the organization of professional development courses for faculty. The periodicals and scientific publications of partner educational institutions will publish articles, reports and other scientific works of teachers and students.
The agreement provides for the development and implementation of joint educational programs, including double-diploma programs. It also provides for joint participation in grants announced by state, international, public, private foundations and organizations.
The bilateral agreement was reached during the working visit of the delegation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Urumchi.
After the meeting the scientists of KazNU exchanged opinions with the specialists of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography and familiarized with the scientific infrastructure of the university.
