Dear Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev - we remember, we love, we are proud of you!

On April 12, 2024, the Republic of Kazakhstan will solemnly celebrate the 125th anniversary of the birth of Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev, a world-famous scientist, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences, one of the founders of Soviet metallogenic science, the founder of the Kazakh school of metallogeny, the founder of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR. The name of the scientist is widely known not only in Kazakhstan, but throughout the world. K.I. Satpayev was an outstanding geologist; It was he who discovered the famous Ulytau-Dzhezkazgan copper ore deposit - one of the three largest in the world.

The 1st year students of Al-Farabi KazNU also decided to honor the memory of the scientist, a bright and noble man, infinitely devoted to science and loving his people.  Due to the event:  “Talk about the main thing: the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist, man, citizen of his Fatherland Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev” the  students  were able to learn more about  the life and the  work of Academician K.I. Satpayev, a man of a  planetary scale.

The students  took part in  this event with an  enthusiasm. They talked about the main periods of K.I. Satpayev’s life., read  the memories of his contemporaries and  poems dedicated to him. They   also prepared a presentation about his parents,  school and student years,  his wife and  friend  Taisiya Alekseevna Satpayeva who was also a geologist. They  told about the tragic pages of the researcher’s biography. The students found out  that the scientist’s daughters also devoted their lives to science. This  information produced  a deep impression on the students, who sincerely admired for  Kanysh Imantaevich and his family.
