ENACTUS KazNU gives confidence in the future

We invited Ainur Bazarkhan, a 3rd year student of Mathematics major, who is an active participant of the ENACTUS university organization and has made a great contribution to its development, to join the conversation.

- Ainur,what is the ENACTUS organization?

- ENACTUS is a non-profit international organization dedicated to the development of leadership and entrepreneurship among students and youth. The organization supports business projects and works on their development. ENACTUS business projects are created in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, covering social, environmental, commercial and innovative areas. The organization has more than 550 partners around the world. Including partners from Kazakhstan.

- What would you say about the history of the organization?

- The project started in the USA in 1975 under the name of SIFE. In 1994 it was internationally recognized. Since 1995 the Central Asian states joined SIFE and started working in Kazakhstan. At the World Cup 2012 (World Cup) the new name of the project was changed to ENACTUS.

- What does the name and logo mean?

- ENACTUS-Enterpreneurship in action, Entrepreneurial, Action, US - introduction of innovations in business and development of social entrepreneurship in student, academic environment. The project features a yellow crane as its logo, which is a classic symbol of happiness and peace.

- How does the organization work?

- ENACTUS is very popular in our country among young people. The organization works in several universities and schools in Kazakhstan. Enactus Kazakhstan Road Show - introduction to the annual goals, Business Collaboration Forum-Forum of ENACTUS teams in Kazakhstan. National competitions between teams around the world are held annually. ENACTUS teams that are winners of national competitions will present their projects at the World Championship on behalf of the state. Winning teams will receive cash prizes and funding for business projects. The organization also has winter and summer camps for youth. At the camp, different teams get to know each other and participate in business training.

- How was the National Cup and World Cup this year?

- The ENACTUS Kazakstan team took part in the ENACTUS Kazakstan National EXPO in Astana. Unfortunately, we were not able to get to the World Cup. Nevertheless, the ENACTUS team of E. Buketov University (Karaganda) became the owner of the national cup and represented our country at the World Cup. The World Championship was held in October in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Egyptian team ENACTUS was recognized as the winner of the World Cup. In 2024 it was decided to hold the World Cup in Astana. The team of our university was awarded a special prize "Breakthrough of the Year" at the World Championship 2001 in London. I hope that in the future our team will conquer high peaks.

-What is the impact of ENACTUS on the formation of young people as individuals?

- Working with a team in preparing Business Projects, coming up with new ideas increases a person's competitiveness. Filling out documents, speaking in front of a stage, working with finances develop soft skills. In addition, as a result of additional classes on entrepreneurship last school year, we mastered the creation of business projects. We worked with schoolchildren during the finboss financial literacy competition sponsored by KMF&KMF. ENACTUS gave ourselves new friends and entrepreneurial environment and experience. Glad to share the interesting stages of my student life with this organization. Let's be among ENACTUS and together contribute to the world.
