A scientific seminar "The origin and formation of Arabic Philology as a science"
On February 13, 2024, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project, Associate Professor of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, Candidate of Philology Sh.S. Kalieva held a seminar on the topic “The origin and formation of Arabic Philology as a science”. The seminar was organized within the framework of a bilateral agreement between the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak.
During the seminar such issues as the origins of the Arabic language, the peculiarities of Arabic poetry in the ancient period, the classical character of the Arabic language, the fixation of Arabic vocabulary, the first manuscripts of the Holy Quran, the appearance of explanatory dictionaries of the Arabic language were considered. The students actively participated in the lecture and received complete answers to their questions.
