The Council of Young Scientists of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences hosted a seminar focused on expanding international and interdisciplinary collaboration
On February 18, 2024, at the faculty, the seminar of the Council of Young Scientists was conducted to unite current doctoral students and young scientists around key topics of cooperation and development. Participants representing various areas of geographical research actively discussed the current problems of doctoral students and young scientists and the possibilities of cooperation both with foreign colleagues and with scientists from other departments and faculties.
During the intensive workshop program, participants developed a plan for the “ideal” internship, including a discussion of the opportunities and risks associated with international research projects. This plan is a valuable resource for young scientists seeking to advance their careers in science.
The Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, Madina Tursumbayeva, emphasized the importance of the seminar and expressed satisfaction with its results. “This seminar opens up new horizons for our faculty. We came together to discuss problematic issues and created an action plan aimed at developing our scientific community,” she noted.
The seminar concluded with a collective call for further promotion of the idea of international collaboration and knowledge integration to address global challenges in the field of geographical research and environmental studies.
