 On February 21, 2024   "Russian Language and Culture" Center  at  the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi  KazNU  hosted  an event dedicated to the International Mother Tongue Day.  The vice-consul,  the head of the Russian House in Almaty,  M.S. Simakova,  the employees of Rossotrudnichestvo organization  were invited to the event.  There was also a  meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor B.U. Dzholdasbekova  where   the  cooperation with the Center was  discussed.

   The event participants:  the students of the  RK, the  foreign students,  the master’s degree and PhD  students,  the teachers of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature prepared interesting presentations on the study and  the preservation of native languages in society. They exchanged knowledge, experience, talked about the importance of linguistic diversity for strengthening socio-cultural ties in the world.

  Within the framework of this event Rossotrudnichestvo organization  in Almaty of Book Giving presented books for the  students to the library of the Center in the  honor of the International Day. Simakova M.S. noted the importance of reading and made a review of educational literature.

   The head of the Department  of Russian Ohilology and World Literature Tattimbetova K.O. thanked the guests for cooperation.
