Workshop on the topic "Face Negotiation Theory. Principles of Politeness"

On November 23, 2023, a PhD and a senior lecturer of the department Taubayev Zharas Turysbekovich conducted a Workshop on the topic "Face Negotiation Theory. Principles of Politeness" with scholars from Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. The purpose of the Workshop was  to teach and use effectively the theory to resolve conflicts in a way that it preserves one's public image in intercultural communication. This behavior is explained by the desire of individuals to consolidate their position in the group.  Like any damage, the image can also be "repaired".
