International Scientific and practical conference "Conceptual directions for the development of the judicial and law enforcement system: republican and international legal experience" (16th annual Khalikov Readings).

On February 23, 2024, the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the international scientific and practical conference "Conceptual directions for the development of the judicial and Law Enforcement system: republican and international legal experience" (16th annual Khalikov Readings), dedicated to the memory of Doctor of Law, Professor Khalikov Kalimulla Khalikov - one of the founders of the formation and development of the science of judicial power in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The conference was attended by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University (Republic of Belarus) and leading scientists, practitioners, specialists of Kazakhstan, among the participants of the conference were close relatives of K. Khalikov.
The international level of the conference made it possible to draw attention to the problems faced by citizens at the stages of criminal proceedings. The conference became a platform for summarizing and discussing, sharing knowledge and experience with other scientists in the field of the judicial and law enforcement system.

The department annually awards personal scholarships, in this regard, this conference was no exception and awarded the K.H. Khalikov scholarship for academic achievements to the 3rd year student of the Law Enforcement Department, Kultor Zhanserik Yerlanuly.
