On February 23, 2024 the “Digital Farabi 2024 Hackathon” took place, organized by the Department of Information Systems of the Faculty of Information Technologies of Al-Farabi Kazakh University.
The hackathon was introduced within the framework of the International Forum “Digital Farabi 2024”. Students from the country's leading universities from 28 teams took part in it.
The objectives of the DIGITAL FARABI Hackathon 2024 were the following:
Topic 1. “Development of the Diptych system and alerts about data leaks on the Internet.” MSSP Global IT company.
Topic 2. “Improving the internal grading system in an IT company.” IT company ONE Technologies.
Topic 3. “Development of an intelligent question-answer system for processing text data in the Kazakh language.”
Topic 4. “Creating classification models for steganography methods using cold neural networks.” IT company Torus.
Topic 5. “Development of a method for analysis, classification and network data.” IT company Torus.
Topic 6. “Development of models for preventing cyber extremism in social networks and instant messengers.” IT company Torus.
Topic 7. “Development of your own application based on Android OS for encrypting files using the lightweight LBC encryption algorithm.” Laboratory of "Information Security" IIVT KN MNE RK.
As a result, the places were distributed as follows:
Key 1: KazNU named after. al-Farabi, Open Source team, 1st place;
Key 2: KazNU named after. al-Farabi, the Alash team took 1st place, the Universe team took 2nd place;
Key 3: KazNU named after. Al-Farabi, the VIKSIA team took 1st place, the DoRest team took 2nd place;
Key 4: KazNU named after. al-Farabi, team “Jupiter”, “Team” 1st place;
Key 5: KazNU named after. al-Farabi, team “Winner”, 1st place;
Key 6: KazNU named after. al-Farabi, “IT jigits” team, 1st place;
Keys 7: Team “JAKO” KazNITU named after K. Satpayev, 1st place.
