On February 29, 2024, at the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law, a scientific seminar was held on the topic: “Society and freedom of action. Modern Realities” within the framework of the implementation of the UN SDGs (16.10 To ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms in accordance with national legislation and international agreements). The 1st year undergraduate student, Sabirov Daniyal, acted as a speaker. The scientific seminar and discussion were moderated by the Head of the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Suleimenova S.Zh.

 During the scientific seminar, the topic of open access to information was highlighted, taking into account the needs of a stratum of society and its real impact on the behavior of the vector of development of legislation. As well as in the process of discussion and exchange of views, the participants of the scientific seminar expressed the opinion on the need for a thorough and complete analysis of proposals aimed at improving the mechanisms of application of existing legal institutions.

One of the main results of the meeting was the understanding of a significant change in the very presentation of information and the ways in which independent media influence the consciousness of citizens of the country. Priority topics and tasks were revealed in a new way for further research.
