Education for sustainable development

Education for sustainable development is an inherent component of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG No. 4), which is related to the quality of education. Indeed, the introduction of ESD has a beneficial effect on the educational process, contributes to its improvement, modernization and progressive development. In particular, school, pre-university and university education is being improved in the direction of sustainable development, providing better professional training and advanced training.

So, on 02/27/2024, the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Kazakh National University conducted a training on the topic for college staff and the Department of Pre-university Education: "Education for sustainable development". The coach was the consultant coach of the UNESCO office in Almaty, S.J. Zeynolla. During the training, the goals, characteristics and objectives of sustainable development were considered, a number of controversial issues in the field of sustainable development and ways to solve them in working with foreign students, schoolchildren were touched upon. The training was held in a constructive manner.
