A round table was held of the Prosecutor's Office of the Almaly district of Almaty on the topic: "Features of the pre-trial investigation of crimes in the field of drug trafficking."

As part of the implementation of the "UN SDG 16. Peace, Justice and effective institutions" and in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a round table was held at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics with employees of the Prosecutor's Office of the Almaly district of Almaty on the topic: "Features of the pre-trial investigation of crimes in the field of drug trafficking."
The following issues were considered during the round table:
• The concept and types of crimes in the field of drug trafficking.
• The specifics of the initiation and investigation of criminal cases in this category of crimes.
• Problems and prospects of improving legislation in the field of drug trafficking.
• The role of the prosecutor in overseeing the pre-trial investigation.
• Practical examples from real work.
The prosecutors shared their work experience, talked about the difficulties and nuances of investigating crimes in the field of drug trafficking, and also answered students' questions.
