On January 10, 2024, at 16:00, at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a scientific seminar was held, organized by the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics in accordance with the roadmap for advancement in the THE IR and QS rankings to discuss issues on innovative scientific research.

The seminar was attended by a researcher at the Institute of Information and Computing Technologies, Bapyshev Akylbek Mirzabekovich, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Zhanabaev Zeinulla Zhanabaevich, Director of the Engineering and High Technologies Cluster, PhD Temirbaev Amirkhan Adilkhanovich, Head of the Department of Innovation and Intellectual Property PhD Meirambekuly Nursultan, teachers and young scientists of the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics.

A doctoral student of the specialty “Space Engineering and Technology” Bapyshev A.M. gave a report entitled “Development of a method for generating a guaranteed supply of fuel for controlling the descent of the spent stage of launch vehicles.” The research carried out is based on the main concepts and methods for reducing the environmental impact of space rocket launches. The proposed choice of design and layout parameters of the spent stage is aimed at ensuring the following requirements: reduction of contamination of the earth's soils, in particular, the fall of the spent stage without rocket fuel residues in the tanks; optimization of impact areas of the spent stage of the launch vehicle.

After the report, seminar participants were able to ask the speaker questions. During the discussion on the issues covered at the seminar, speeches were made by Zhanabaev Z. Zh., Temirbaev A. A.

The seminar ended with a closing speech by acting head of the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics B.A. Khanieva, who noted the main results of the seminar and expressed hope for the continuation of an interesting discussion on this issue.
